Welcome to AK Nation News (aknationnews.com), operated by Akintunde Kayode. This Billing & Refund Policy describes how we process payments, manage subscriptions, and handle cancellations, refunds, and disputes for our digital memberships, SuperChats, and merchandise.

By purchasing a membership, sending a SuperChat, or initiating any transaction on our platform, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

1. Payment Processing & Security

All payments on aknationnews.com are processed securely through Stripe:

• PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliance: Stripe is certified at the highest security standard in the payment industry.
• Secure Tokenization: Your card details are encrypted and sent directly to Stripe. Your full card details are never stored on our servers.
• Supported Methods: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

2. Membership Plans & Pricing

AK Nation News offers three monthly membership tiers. All prices in USD:

Benefits activate immediately upon successful billing. Tiers and pricing are subject to change per our Terms of Service.

3. Billing Cycle & Auto-Renewal

• Billing Date: Your billing cycle begins on the date of your initial purchase and recurs monthly on the same day.
• Automatic Renewal: All subscriptions renew automatically. Your payment method is charged at the start of each billing period unless you cancel before your next Billing Date.

4. Cancellation Policy

• How to Cancel: Navigate to your Account Settings on aknationnews.com and click "Cancel Subscription," or email billing@aknationnews.com.
• Effective Date: Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access to all benefits until then.
• No Prorated Refunds: We do not offer prorated or partial refunds for the remaining days of a billing cycle after cancellation.

6. Failed Payments & Grace Period

• Automatic Retries: Stripe will re-attempt failed charges up to 4 times over a 7-day grace period.
• Notification: You will receive an email notification about the failed payment so you can update your billing details.
• Access Reversion: If payment is not cleared within 7 days, your membership reverts to the free tier. Update your payment method to restore access.

7. Price Changes

• 30-Day Notice: Active subscribers will receive at least 30 days' advance notice of any price changes via email.
• Your Options: You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
• Consent: Continued subscription after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing.

8. Free Trial Promotions

AK Nation News does not currently offer free trials. All premium sign-ups begin billing immediately. If free trials are introduced in the future, terms will be clearly disclosed at sign-up, and your payment method will be charged at the standard rate at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand.

9. Chargebacks & Disputes

• Contact Us First: If you notice a billing error, contact billing@aknationnews.com before contacting your bank. We resolve issues faster than the formal dispute process.
• Impact of Chargebacks: Initiating an unauthorized chargeback without contacting us first violates our Terms of Service and may result in permanent account suspension.

10. Merchandise Purchases

Physical merchandise is sold through our Shopify store at ak-nation-48.myshopify.com. Merch purchases are subject to Shopify's policies, not this Billing Policy. Full Citizenship members receive free shipping via a discount code in your member portal — codes must be entered at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively.
