Pennsylvania State Police were called to an area hospital around 7:17 a.m. on March 21 after a 19-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted, according to the DA's office. Investigators determined the assault happened at a hotel in Lower Macungie Township. The woman told investigators she was in a relationship with Santos-Rivera and the pair had gone to dinner before returning to a hotel room he had rented, authorities said.
